27 years that's a long time. I would test the waters and just stop going to meetings. For me it was embarrassing trying to go to meetings without the family. And I eventually gave up. I had doubts of my own for awhile as well. And If she is as dedicated to the religion she will stay faithfully married unless someone cheats..right?

by RULES & REGULATIONS inthank you for coming to my house so often because you were so concerned about me missing so many meetings.. ( actually, the only time you visited was when the circuit and district overseers were in town.
you really showed them how concerned you were about your sheep.
i now know that it is more of a duty than a concern.).

is it possible to raise good kids with out religious morals?
by Princess Ashe inmaking up my mind on how to teach my son values in life seems to be an on going struggle of what is right and wrong.
being raised in a sheltered jw life until after leaving high school seems like going from one extreme to another of being over restrictive or under.
trying to find that balance.

Advice on fading needed
by wallievase inthese 2 options are before me right now-.
1. write a letter to the elders and my family, not da myself but basically saying i have too much going on in my life and am confused, so that they will stop bothering my wife and stop asking me questions all the time.
after i write the letter continue to go to the hall less and less.... 2. appease my wife.

every family will handle things differently when it comes to some one leaving. I thought my mom would stop talking to me after I faded but she still does, well it took awhile but she came around. I remember over hearing at a witness gathering about another family and one witness said "oh yeah we displayed strong will power and did not talk to one of their family members at all and we were able to welcome him back because of our actions he came back to the meetings"

have you tried confronting your wife? Would you have a support group/friends if you did leave? Personally I would rather fade away then write a letter. When they read that letter its like huge mark of shame on you in the eyes of everyone. Like you premediated to leave. Just fading leaves thin guessing. That maybe you just became overwhelmed. But there is still that possibility you might come back. My husband stopped going and the comments of "we are so proud of you for staying strong and coming on your own" really irritated me more and I just ended up leaving as well

i was very suprised to hear Fred Franz mentioned in one of the talks on friday, First the speaker starts out that for many decades brother fred franz was a faithful servant annoited here on earth and even served as a part of the governing body but when the turth found him he was a college student studying the deep things in this world so he could be a leader for one of bablyons religions, after hearing the truth he removed himself from all the conections from babylon the great this brought sharp critism ... he told the religous leader i dont care what he thinks this is the truth

by keyser soze ini remember when i was a kid going on vacation somewhere with my family, my parents would always have to find out where the local kingdom hall was.
god forbid we should miss a meeting because we were actually enjoying our time away from work and school..

on your honeymoon!!!!! Wow that's crazy. My cousin and I were visiting my bro in Cali and we went to the kh we arrived early a few people thought he was the speaker. At the end of the meeting we talked with a few people it. One older lady through me off she inquired if we were kissing cousins. And she hands me like a business card with her information on it and the watchtower symbol (the tower picture) really strange.

better then the book hahaha. I went to see it today. The theater was suprisingly packed. The people in my row were making fun of it. that was entertaining. The nephilim were called the watchers and god was referred as the creator. I didn't notice if there was a rainbow at the end I was distracted by everyone jumping up so quickly to leave before the credits started rolling. I was suprised the movie went as far as showing Noah getting drunk from wine and being naked in front of his sons Gen. 9:21,22. The watchers were angels that came to earth but only because they thought they could come to help the humans. And ended up helping Noah build the ark and once the job was complete you watched the angels go back up into heaven. Hams wife was not able to have children, Methuselah heals her and she goes running off to ham to make a baby. (the lady beside me was like dang he made her horny really horny, I need that) noahs wife mixes herbs together and burns it to make a smoke to keep the animals asleep. The first chapter of genisis is mentioned about the creation of the earth. Did anyone see son of god?
